Mandy Connell - The Hole In The Window
Mandy Connell is lovely. Her insightful stories flow beautifully over her creative guitar picking and it is music to my ears. She is a fine purveyor of excellent traditional folk music and she shines like gold, either solo or with her group of equally fine ladies, The Stray Hens.
This song, is a great example of what I love about live music. Mandy came in and strummed away at many songs while I prepared to film and record and when I suggested that I loved one particular song she was playing, she said it was brand new, written within days and incomplete.
She did it anyway and while this version varies to her most current version, it’s this sort of artistic bravado I applaud loudly. Mandy Connell Is Lovely
